It’s been 12 years since I launched Life’s Better In Yoga Pants. In a time before the extreme popularity of social media, blogs were where we shared ideas, reviews, and what was on our minds.
The blog and myself have gone through many different iterations throughout the years.
Life's Better In Yoga Pants has been a place for fitness studio reviews, nutritious recipes, ideas on how to wind down, a personal breakup diary, an accountability journal, and the keeper of my race stats.
As we continue to place emphasis on moving forward with social media, I’m taking a step back and going back to better days (though that would really be the 90s if you ask me).
Writing is something I enjoy (considering I own a PR firm, I sure hope I like to write) and I missed having this outlet to share the new things I'm trying, how my training is going, yummy recipes, and how I attempt to balance it all. So I brought it back!
This space is different than it was when I first launched - influencers and content creators have exploded onto the scene though some moonlight as experts when they are not. It brings me to some VERY important points I want to make before wires get crossed.
I'm a blogger/writer, not a content creator or influencer. My posts will be and always have been honest and my own personal thoughts. If I don't like something, I will say that.
My current expertise lies in PR, digital marketing, nutrition, and Pilates. That's it.
I will speak to running advice in the sense of making your training fit into your schedule, overcome mental blocks, getting started if you're a new runner, etc, but I won't be telling you what workouts to do - I will gladly recommend a few certified coaches if you need!
This and my social media is usually a highlight reel - you're not getting full access to my life like with other influencers and content creators (yes, I know the last few years of LBIYP V1 ended up being a personal diary).
I welcome feedback and would love to hear what you like and don't like.
With all that being said...
Welcome to the next generation of Life’s Better In Yoga Pants!
XO,
Lynette
